ZAMAR consists of Versatile, Multi-talented, Experienced musicians and singers, who entered the music scene in the mid 2000s, providing live backing for Local, Regional and International Artistes, including Lt. Stitchie & Emrand Henry.
They convincingly cover various styles including Gospel, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Jazz and Fusion, satisfying audiences of various musical tastes.
ZAMAR opened for many Jazz acts including Eddie Bullen, Arturo Tappin, Boo Hinkson and Barbera Cadet, and in 2014, the band supported the opening act for Tessanne Chin, the winner of The Voice 2013, at the Naniki Caribbean Jazz Safari.
For the Pure Grenada Music Festival, they will feature music from Godson Browne, one of the founding members, and well known Local Musician/Composer, Aiden Slinger.
GODSON is a versatile and multi talented Musician, who majors on Drums, Piano/Keyboards, Bass, Xylophone and is also fond of other instruments available to him including various wind, string and percussion instruments.
His early musical diet of Traditional and Contemporary Gospel Music served from his Christian upbringing, along with his consumption of various Caribbean Styles, supplemented by strong doses of Jazz & Classical music, all influence his approach to composing and arranging.
Considered self taught for many years, he performed in various local and regional events – where he at times served as Music Director, Arranger, or whatever other related task that may be assigned to him – he was an unofficial student of each individual or group he worked with.
He later completed Classical music studies in ABRSM Percussion, Piano and Theory for which he received various awards and recognitions for his outstanding performances.
Godson currently is a full-time Music Teacher, an Active Performer, and emerging Composer/Arranger.
