The tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique is located in the eastern Caribbean. With less than 110,000 inhabitants and only 130 square miles of land, it’s little more than a tiny dot on the world map. But despite its small size, the island is widely known for its untouched beauty, warm friendly people, and vibrant cultural heritage.
Grenada is a musical nation, rich with talent that is expressed through a musical spectrum that spans from steel pan, reggae and gospel, to calypso, soca and more. But talent is only the beginning. Talent needs structure and development, without which the road to success is very long and difficult, if not impossible, for young musicians to navigate on their own.
In Grenada, at present, the music industry has yet to get off the ground, which unfortunately leaves very few opportunities for the many young talented musicians who are hungry to realise their full potential and commence the journey of fulfilling their dreams.
Founded in 2015, Music & Beyond is a locally registered non-profit organisation whose goal is to raise funds to foster and support the growth and development of musical talent in Grenada.
