SpiceRock, a phenomenal group of seven (7) was founded in February of 2012, by Band manager and Promoter, Mr. Ian ‘Judah’ St. Bernard. Judah felt the need to gather a few individuals whom he thought could change the sound of music in the Tri-Island state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Leading the SpiceRock band is rhythm keyboard player, Ahkim ‘Betta’ McSween, with accompaniment of leads keyboardist, Romel ‘Dupree’ Hypolite. Also included are, Musical Director and bassist, Keane ‘Bass boi’ Jules and is assistant, Jeavid ‘Wiggie’ Neckles on rhythm guitar, Kerry ‘Natty’ Cyrus (percussionist), Gary ‘Drummie’ Steele (Drummer), Gerard ‘Stick it’ Charles (MPC) and lead vocalist Dennison ‘Lion man’ Andrew.
The band has been blessed with the opportunity to open for world favored artists, such as, Maxi Priest, Jah Rule, Ashanti and Chronixx, just to name a few. SpiceRock band has also graced the stage with reggae icon George Nooks at Sunshine Promotions annual ‘A NIGHT OF LOVE’ concert leaving the audience astonished and on their feet. With the motto “Music is a mission, not a competition” SpiceRock was victorious in the first ever live on the beach original song competition where we performed one of our originals ‘Reggae Anthem’. SpiceRock aspires as one unit to allow our music to take us places we’ve only imagined.
Judah along with Petroc ‘Rocky’ Bernard (Engineer), found it fit to venture out into developing the record label, ‘SpiceRock Records’ where music is the main focus. For SpiceRock, making music, history and generating superb revenue are the greatest objectives. SpiceRock continues to push the mold while breaking musical boundaries and settles for nothing but the best. The band has already accomplished tremendous feats in our four (4) yeas of existence and continues to ‘WOW’ audiences’ nation wide with our crisp sound and international standard of music.
